“As a teenager, I was very self-conscious about my smile. My teeth were crooked and very spaced out and this definitely affected the way I handled social interactions. I never smiled in pictures if I even posed for pictures at all and I found myself wishing on many occasions that my parents would agree to allowing me to see an orthodontist so that I could get braces. My sophomore year of high school my dreams became a reality and I was finally on the road to having straight teeth. My first appointment with Dr. Suliman let me know that I was in good hands: although I was being fitted for the braces that I would wear for the next two years he was so gentle that I fell asleep in the chair multiple times! Dr. Suliman was always available to answer any questions I had about my braces and he even met my needs as an older teenager by finding clear brackets and elastics for me to wear so that the braces would be less obvious.
